J104 Beech Nature

The J104 chair was designed by Joergen Baekmark in 1960’s and is part of the FDB (Danish Consumersäó» Co-operative Society) collection of furniture. The mission was to manufacture high quality design furniture for ordinary people at relatively low prices.

The FDB series also pioneered knock-down furniture: furniture that comes in a box and is assembled by the user.

In 2011, Hay relaunched the Danish furniture classics originally made for FDB.
